I love Bistro Central Park. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, food is delicious, service is terrific. I try and go every time I visit San Francisco.
I eat here a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always awesome and they keep the place well kept at all times. Pricing is fair and they serve big portions.
Overpriced and sad food. Service and overall atmosphere need a lot of improvement
My friend and I had Christmas Eve dinner here. I started with the salmon, my friend had a green salad, then the Rossini and chocolate cake and profiteroles for dessert. The restaurant has a good vibe. The staff is friendly. The food was very good.
Charming neighborhood spot, romantic, with friendly staff who will welcome you in. Food never disappoints. Mushroom risotto is particularly delicious.
best place! qualified food and serviceï¼
The seafood is delious
One of the best meals I’ve had in SF. The ambiance was perfect, it was Warm, inviting and had great energy. We started with a perfectly balanced cheese plate. I then had an incredible French onion soup- the best I’ve ever had. Followed by an amazing filet mignon - it was truly a perfect dinner.
The food was great and the restaurant has a fun ambiance. My main complaint was the sub-par service, although that might have been a function of how busy they were on the night we came.
The most authentic French restaurant in the Bay Area. Snails and sweetbreads.
Highly recommend this place. Staff & owner are very professional and welcoming. Food & pastries are perfectly executed. For those who said it's not a french restaurant, i just want to precise, as a native, there is no "typical" french cuisine in France. If you 're a purist, french food is mainly cuisine au beurre, sauce au beurre, tripes, tête de veau, tablier de sapeur : Non merci ! not my taste. If you want to eat pure french cuisine, stay in France. There is a very popular city in France named Lyon. Salut
Off the beaten path. Food is incredible. Mimosas are bottomless. Service is second to none. Highly recommended. Worth the trip. This place makes me want to come back to San Francisco.
great food and excellent attentive service. we went for brunch and I thought there'd be a wait but the food came out quickly. everything was delicious. a little $$ but totally worth it.
We arrived at this spot for a meeting. we heard about this place from a lot of people. Well, it was a winning. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt excellent. The meal was tasty. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
First time visiting SF and I stopped in because bistro food is always good. I had cauliflower soup, French bread and a merlot/zin blend called "Jacqueline"Wine and soup were great and the server was extremely personable. Definitely recommend and I will be going back!
Super French food with amazing service. Very French and cozy. Parking could be an issue.
Holy Batman this was probably best meal I’ve had in a long time. The food was impeccable and the service was even better. Looking for traditional French risotto, rossini, and creme brûlée, this is the place. Cannot recommend anywhere higher!
This is a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path that locals go to. We've been going for over 10 years. It's French but not pretentious. We sometimes go right when it opens without reservation. It gets packed on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.We usually order steak and fries, mussels with curry and risotto. They always accommodate kids' request for pasta with butter and cheese. We try their escargot from time to time. I'm glad that they offer California wines too and just not just French wines. They offer brunch which I've never tried though.
Nice place. Very expensive. A little pretentious. Good for weekend brunch as there is no line. Food quality was really off last two times. We were a party of four and half of our food was barely warm when it arrived. Not good for $30/person. Cute space.
It was a pretty excellent restaurant, and I'm sorry to see it go, but it is now (as of Jan 15 2020) permanently closed. All the furniture and fixtures are gone, although they left some lights inside, presumably to ward off breakins.
Live this neighborhood gem. Food is delicious, they are cool with us bringing our kid. Service can be slow, but it probably wouldn't feel that way if we didn't have a toddler with us!
This is a neighborhood gem. Slightly off of Divis, so it avoids the crowds. But this some of the best French food in the city. Traditional and perfect
I had such a lovely dining experience when I visited in October! This is a true French bistro and everything about the place is authentic from the food to the staff. My waiter presented me with a fantastic wine pairing that I could not have beaten myself and the all of the food was so delicious!
We went for brunch with friends. Very cute corner French cafe. I have read reviews about parking being difficult but it was no problem on a Sunday morning. Mimosas were yummy with fresh orange juice. I had the omelet with cheese, mushrooms, and spinach. Fluffy eggs with a side salad and potatoes. Very filling. My fiance said the salmon benedict was also good, and our friend enjoyed his scallops with risotto. I can't wait to go back for dinner!!
Best date place
Spotty service and food, not what it was, a poor value. The salad looked like they poured the greens directly out of bag onto the plate with no other garnish - and worse it wasn't even very fresh. Our server seemed to lack basic understanding of how to deal with diners - pressing us to choose a specific red wine when we had not even decided what food we would have, and also finding it very hard to gracefully put things on the table. At this price, I expect more. We will not be back.
Decent place to go and easy to get reservations. Our waiter was French so made the place feel more authentic haha. Our favourite dish were the sweet breads and escargot. I loveeee garlic so the escargot was perfect, lots of parsley and lots of garlic. We also had the duck leg and beef tartare, which were average.
What a great find!! Awesome food with excellent service!
I've been to Bistro Central Parc a few times and each time has been a good experience. This is a good spot to chill with a small group of friends or a good date night spot. The place itself is nice inside with a few tables, a bar (wine&beer), and an outdoor seating area. They also serve brunch but I have yet to try it. The highlights from the dinner menu for me are:French onion soupBone marrow (when its available)Rack of lamb - oh so goodScallop risottoBeignets.
My top spot for tasty French food. Everyone at our table was enjoying everything. I see why this place has a lot of positive reviews.
Nice French style bistro. The food was good but the wine selection was outstanding. It wasn't very large but what we drank was spot on.
My preferred scene for quality french food. Food was so appetizing. The service here is outstanding. Prices that won't break you. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.
Mediocre food all around. Weak latte, over priced food
It seems like everyone that came in had reservations. Service was extremely on point. Water was never left empty if at all. Food was great, the manager it seems took care of us really well.
Found this place last minute for a celebratory dinner and they did not disappoint! The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome. The food was very flavorful and we were able to get a lot for our money we felt. Definitely worth coming back and trying more dishes out in the future!
This was one of the best French restaurant I have been to in the city.
Well, what can I say? Firstly, the food here was pretty good. Not overly elaborate, but fresh and flavoursome, I particularly enjoyed my main, the fish of the day - Petrale sole.Service was thorough. We were intimidated by the wine list (not cheap) but were helped in our decision making by multiple waitering staff, who also gave a wonderfully detailed description of the specials!Interestingly, the restaurant was empty by the time we’d finished our food. Had it not felt as though the place was closing we might have stayed for an digestif! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
Food was good, service European and price New York.
Definitely nothing to write home about here. This place doesn't live up to the hype it used to. Without the previous cheif it has fallen apart. Overpriced meals and delayed service. If paying for a 12 dollar plate of eggs, go elsewhere....
Amazing food and service. A must go if you're by the park.
Good for dining under heat lamps with your dogs. Affordable wines by the glass. Go for House made charcuterie, stick to simple dishes. Avoid mussels with curry broth.
French food, super satisfying. Prices that won't break you. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.
Love the food. Service was great as well.
The beef tartar here was disappointing at best, despite the ostentatious display. Coupled with unimaginably slow service, the restaurant delivered nothing short of a bewildering spectacle of blandness. The only thing that could have made the experience thus far worse was the frighteningly pedestrian wine selection. The redeeming factor came with the main course. While my medium steak veered disturbingly close to the well done side, it was still edible, and at times, enjoyable, albeit dry. The risotto was also acceptable. Nothing unique here, but presenting an edible dish deserves an accolade in itself.
Had brunch here. Nothing out of the ordinary, had a pretty standard brunch menu, but they did start serving the lunch menu at 11 am which looked quite interesting. I can't say much more than that as I just had the Salmon Eggs Benedict, which was tasty and cost about $15. Espresso coffee was well made and they don't overfill the cappuccino with milk, which I think is rare these days. Service was prompt and attentive. Would recommend this neighborhood gem as it was also relatively quiet... another rarity in the city these days.
Wonderful French food with excellent service!
Great neighborhood spot for a quiet dinner, owner has owned a # of restaurants and built this one from the ground up. Very good value since the food tastes great and the prices aren't through the roof. Good wine list, as expected. Sweetbreads were very tasty!
Food was delicious!!! Try the chicken.
Use to be way better a few years back.. prices went up and the quality of food went down
I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is amazing. I would suggest any of their risotto dishes! The creme brûlée is also to die for. Great ambiance and wonderful food! What more could you ask for?
